Job Title: Supervisor of Safety and Quality Control For Production, Packaging and Inventory

Job Definition:

  1. Structuring and management of safety and quality control for the company, in accordance with company standard specifications and various governmental regulations: (USDA, AIB, GMP, ORGANIC)
  2. Planning, application and implementation of quality control standards for every department in the company.  This includes implementation of quality check system applicable for production lines, packaging lines and inventory in accordance with federal and state regulations (USDA, AIB, GMP, ORGANIC).
  3. Composing a concise, written document summarizing quality control policy of the company.
  4. Development of guidelines and procedures which will result in a hierarchy of departmental responsibility and personal accountability-ensuring the implementation of quality control within the company.
  5. Development of ways and means to ascertain and determine the extent of implementation:  forms, reports, Spanish translations.
  6. Daily reports and quarterly analysis – reporting directly to company management.
  7. Developing a system of management and supervision in accordance with analysis conclusions and data bank.
  8. Daily quality control checks as to work procedures on various productions lines to ascertain quality assurance.
  9. Worker training and instruction according to departmental guidelines and federal and state legislation.
  10. Responsibility for executing and analyzing data received from periodic laboratory sampling.
  11. Development and improvement of products.
  12. Responsibility for improving production process and company performance (pertaining to customer satisfaction, worker proficiency, product reject).
  13. Return on investment through better quality procedures
  14. Improvement of product quality.
  15. Working in all other working positions and hours that require by to plant manager.

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge and experience in area of safety and quality control.
  2. Ability to train and instruct staff to ensure work standards and norms.
  3. Ability to compose procedures and reports in order to establish operative changes by stages.
  4. Knowledge and experience with computers – OFFICE, INTERNET.
  5. Organizational ability, attention to detail, ability to manage staff under pressure, multi-task capability and ability to work as part of a team.
  6. Open and aware of continuing  advances in the area of safety and quality control through various means – (internet, professional literature)
