Job Title: Oven / Production Helper
Department: Production
Job Description: Works on Oven / Production Lines for purpose of Set Up, Organize, Speed Up, and other duties required by the Group Leader as necessary in order to produce a consistent product in a timely manner that meets all standards set forth by Masada Bakery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and place on designate areas : Plastic Trays and Oven Racks
- Unload Bagel Racks from Retardant to the Proof Box
- Help the Oven Person in his/her duties: Seeding, Cutting, Load/Unload Proof Box, etc.
- Load and Unload Ovens adhering to the pace set by the Team Leader and according to the process as outlined in the Baking System.
- Rack baked product transfer to the finishing areas outlined in the Baking System.
- Keep work area, tools and supplies clean, organized and sanitary throughout the work shift.
- Learn and be able to perform in all of the other positions associated with the Baking System.
- Follow all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by Masada Bakery.
- Performs other duties as requested by Group Leader.
- Flexible on work schedule and Overtime as requested
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Reading, written and mathematical skills.
- All product will be handled with care in the appropriate manner, as outlined in the Baking System,
in order to minimize loss in the quality or appearance of the finished product. - The baking area and tools will be maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Equipment problems or malfunctions and accidents will be reported immediately to the Oven Team Leader.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum supervision.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, talk, hear, lift, and perform repetitive
motions. - Ability to frequently move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to work well with the Baking Team.
- Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction.
